Patrick Ames

Founder 

With over 30 years in leadership, and a decade of experience inside Keller Williams Market Centers, Patrick brings a rare- behind the scenes understanding of real estate finances to every client relationship.

Patrick has served as a Market Center Administrator, functioning in a Controller / CFO capacity, overseeing all accounting and bookkeeping operations for the Market Center.

This role included managing daily financial operations, reconciling accounts, tracking income and expenses, coordinating with CPAs, and ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and clarity across the entire organization.

That experience led to the creation of The Closing Ledger, a bookkeeping and financial services firm built specifically for real estate agents. The mission is simple: bring clean systems, accurate books, and financial clarity to agents so they can make confident business decisions and grow sustainably.

Patrick is known for translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insight — without the overwhelm. By combining Market Center–level expertise with real-world agent experience, The Closing Ledger helps clients stay organized, tax-ready, and in control of their business finances.

When not working behind the numbers, Patrick is passionate about helping agents build businesses that support both their income goals and their lifestyle.

With more than 30 years of leadership experience, Brad Souza brings a disciplined, strategic perspective to The Closing Ledger that helps businesses grow intentionally, sustainably, and with clarity.

Throughout his career, Brad has led large-scale organizations and teams, focusing on operational excellence, performance management, and long-term business health. His expertise lies in building systems driven by key performance indicators (KPIs), using logical analysis and proactive forecasting to guide decision-making and ensure steady, controlled growth — not reactive swings.

What truly sets him apart is his servant leadership approach. He believes strong leadership starts with supporting people, removing obstacles, and creating environments where teams and businesses can perform at their best. This philosophy has shaped his ability to lead through change, scale operations effectively, and maintain a healthy culture alongside financial success.
